Budget-Wise: Toronto Fun

Looking for some budget-wise fun in Toronto? We live in one of the nicest areas in Canada with tons of activities and events, many of which can fit into even the tightest budget.

At David Sklar & Associates, we are committed to giving you the resources you need to achieve and maintain financial independence. We offer credit counselling services across Ontario to help you identify some tangible goals and provide you with the resources to meet those goals.

The first step towards debt management is budgeting. Here are some excellent resources that will help you get started in your search for fun-on-a-budget in Toronto:

How to Enjoy Toronto on a Budget:

1. Stay Up to Date On The City’s Upcoming Events

The City of Toronto lists upcoming festivals and events with the cost and details to make it easy for you. The good news is that many of these events are free!

2. Toronto Discovery Walks

Go on a Toronto Discovery Walk and discover some of the natural beauty of Toronto. These self-guided walks will take you through neighbourhoods, parks, gardens, beaches and so much more. Best of all, they are all free!

3. Spend an Afternoon Skating

Instead of staying in on cold Winter days, celebrate the Winter. Lace-up your skates and head out to one of Toronto’s many indoor and outdoor rinks. They offer FREE Public and Family skates, so check out times and locations!

4. Get Some Fresh Air At a Park

Check out the dozens and dozens of beautiful, free parks in Toronto. Enjoy the fresh air and scenery!

5. Explore The City’s Trail Networks

Explore the 5 awe-inspiring watershed trail networks that include meadows, forests, rivers, ponds and wetlands. Take them at your own pace, from walks to hikes to runs – enjoy it all for free.

6. Visit A Museum or Historical Site

Don’t just read about Toronto’s great history – experience it at Toronto’s Museums & Historic Sites. While there are normally nominal fees to visit these museums, by paying careful attention to special events you may find a way to visit them for free.

7. Volunteer At A Cultural Event

Why not volunteer for one or more of the many special cultural events in Toronto? This is a great way to see events that you might not be able to afford and have fun meeting new people. Check out the different Volunteer Opportunities in the city.

Ready to live debt free?

The best decision I've made was to contact David Sklar & Associates, they are experts in this matters and also have dedicated Licensed Counsellors that provide the best customer support, like Rhoda Lewis, who I highly recommend. She worked tirelessly on my case, explaining ever detail to me willingly. She demonstrates a true interest in her clients. I appreciate how she patiently walked me through what to do, step by step. I now have control over my finances, as a result my life is much more peaceful and I can focus on what matters. Thank you!
